Simone Jorishie Collett, 86, of Austell, died March 20, 2011.She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Elise & Jim Murphy of Marietta, Paula & Michael Trettel of Norcross, Missi Collett & Stefanie Gault of Mableton, Barbara & Dave Cogliano of South Dakota, sons and daughters in law, Buck & Donna Collett of Powder Springs, Mike & Sue Collett of Kennesaw, Vernon & Debbie Collett of Paulding County, brother, Kenny and wife Marguerite Jorishie of Blackshear, sisters Jo Gregory of Savannah, Roberta and husband Bob Bennett of Richmond Hill. 15 Grandchildren,9 Great Grandchildren, many nieces & nephews.Simone was a school teacher and retired from Cobb County School System with over 40 years of service.She received Teacher of the Year and Volunteer of the Year and numerous other awards.Mrs. Collett volunteered at C.A.M.P. for 42 years and was a faithful member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.While she may have been short in stature, she had a love of life, laughter, education and humanity that was enormous.Simone lived the true Christian spirit.The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8.Services will be 11am on Thursday at St. John Vianney Catholic church.Cremation to follow.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.A.M.P.P.O.
