Charles Allen “Big Al” Williams, 72, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in Kennesaw, GA. Born on April 18, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, he was a spirited and humorous man who brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Big Al retired from Roadway Express after a dedicated career, during which he was an active member of the Teamsters union. His passions included riding his Harley, spending cherished moments with his grandchildren, and enjoying his hobbies, which ranged from cooking to fishing and hunting.
A lover of music—especially Jimmy Buffett, The Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Keith Whitley—and an enthusiast of hot rods, he lived life with a vibrant and loving spirit.
He is survived by his children, Christopher Williams (Nicole Jones) and Jessica Cash (Jeffrey Humble); grandchildren, Jarrod Sealey, Molly Williams, and Cerridwen Williams; and his granddog, Rambo. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ed Williams; his parents, Katie Marie Williams and Hubert Anderson Williams; and his grandmother, Mattie Littlefield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Charles can be made to the St. Jude Cancer Research Institute, an organization he deeply supported.
His family invites those who knew him to celebrate his life and the happiness he spread. Big Al’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be cherished by his friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
