Alice Walker

Alice Virginia Pruitt Walker was born on 15th September 1944, departed this life on 3rd February 2024, leaving a void in the hearts of many. Alice was a woman of kindness, compassion, and love, with a particularity that made her unique and cherished by all who knew her. Her gentle yet firm personality guided her family and friends, creating a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will be cherished for a lifetime.

She was the beloved mother of Sheba Walker and Cedric Walker and the late Sonya Walker who preceded her in death. Alice and Richard shared a profound love, commemorating their 50th wedding anniversary in  2015. She was his pillar of support, and together, they set an exceptional example of love, partnership, and commitment.

Alice was not just a loving wife and mother, but also a teacher at heart. The lessons she taught, "When you do wrong it will come back to you", and "Always treat people with kindness and try not to hurt someone else's feelings," are testament to her kind-hearted nature and understanding of life's intricacies. She was a woman of principles and believed that every person should be treated with kindness and respect.
