Willie (Bud) Polston, 77 of Dallas, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. He is survived by his loving companion of 15 years, Mae Myers; children, Donna Montgomery of Anderson, SC, Tammy (Mitch) Layton of Pensacola, FL, Willie (Rebecca) Polston of Lithia Springs, Sam Polston of Anderson, SC, Lisa Henderson of Dallas and Travis Norton of Newnan; brother, Jeremiah Polston of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren, Willie A. Polston, III, Tiffany Nolan, Danielle Grice, Brett Johnson, Dalton Polston, Dawson Henderson, Cohen Henderson and Aidan Henderson; nephew, Jeremy David (Erin) Polston and his family, Caleb, Madison and Will Polston of Bennettsville, SC; the extended Myers family; and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Douglas and Mary Catherine Polston; wife, Mary Polston; son, Jerry Rodney Polston, and sisters, Dottie Polston and Mary Polston. Mr. Polston was born in Dillon, SC, and moved to Georgia in 1972. He was “Paw Paw” to everybody in the family. He was a loving, caring father and brother, and a mentor to his brother. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight and a Teamster. He enjoyed traveling to other states and taking his RV camping. He liked classic cars and loved to watch his grandson dirt track racing.He was rambunctious and loved life, was always telling jokes and was the life of the party. He was an all-around great guy who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family of Willie (Bud) Polston will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm, Monday December 27, at Roy Davis Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm.
