Virginia "Ginny" Huckeba Carr

Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Huckeba Carr, 81, Of Union Point, formerly of Mableton, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. Born in Atlanta on September 5, 1932, she was a 1949 graduate of West Fulton High School. She retired from Rollins, Inc. in the 1980's and devoted the next years to her grandsons and family. Known as a beautiful southern lady, she was a giving spirit devoted to family, church and friends. She was a member of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs founded by her father. Her passion was history, antiques and all things "gone with the wind." She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles D. "Buster" Carr, her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. J.T. Huckeba of Mableton, and her brother Bobby Huckeba of Marietta, Ga. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ginger and Eddie McGee of Union Point and grandsons Justin McGee of Sparta and Jordan McGee of Athens. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday with Pastor Shane Hill officiating. Interment at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
