Vernon Patterson

Sonny Patterson Douglasville- Sonny Patterson, 57, of Douglasville passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Sylvia Patterson; two sons, Sonny Patterson and his wife, Alyssa, of Weaver, AL, and Trenton Patterson of Douglasville and his girlfriend, Jessica Schellman of Douglasville; two grandsons who adored their “Big Daddy”, Rush Patterson and Deacon Patterson of Weaver, AL; two brothers, Ricky Patterson and his wife Becky of Perry and Bobby Patterson of Canton; one sister, Janice Spence and her husband, James, of Ball Ground and 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Gene Patterson. Mr. Patterson was employed as a Chief Engineer at BF Saul Company. He was in the army for 6 years, 18 months of which were served in Korea. He was known for his love of music, especially his guitars, working on cars, spending time with his friends, and his unique sense of humor. He will most be remembered for the love, dedication, and selflessness that he showed to his family. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
