Tommy ( Bud ) Whaley Jr passed peacefully March 11th 2025 at his home in Euharlee, Ga. He was born December 23rd 1934, in Alexander City, Al, the son of Tom and Mamie Lee ( Denham ) Whaley. Once Tommy left school he began work at Whittier Cotton Mill where he met his soon to be wife Imogene Mashburn and they were married on March 28th 1953. He was a very skilled mechanic who later retired from Six Flags Over Georgia. Tommy enjoyed traveling with his wife to places such as Canada, The West, and Mexico. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, taking family vacations, watching westerns and working on cars. In addition to his parents Tommy was preceded in death by his wife Imogene Mashburn Whaley, his three sisters L.E Burleson, Jewel Abbott and Judy Abbott, his two brothers John Whaley and Thomas E Whaley Sr., his son Tony Whaley, daughter Sheila Whaley, and grandson Rob Helton. He is survived by his sister Shirley ( Bill) Simpson, his daughter Marsha Brookshire, son Steve Whaley, his grandchildren Tiffany(Tommy) Gilreath, Melissa(Shane) Westmoreland, Dewayne(Jill) Whaley, Mindy(Phil) Goddard, Merissa(David) Prince, Chris(Robyn) Whaley, Jan(Chuck) Besinger, Jennifer(Dallas) Duvall, and Brittany Whaley. He also leaves behind 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A service of Remembrance will be held Saturday March 22nd at 1 pm at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell, Ga.
