Tanya M. Strickley

Tanya M. Strickley, 71 of Palmetto, GA passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in Palmetto, GA.She was born June 23, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Frank and Rosemary Tabar. She grew up in Fort Thomas, Ky where she attended St. Thomas Catholic High School, graduating in 1966. She moved to the Erlanger, Ky area in 1976 where she raised her three children.She was an active member of Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.She worked many years for Comair as a Technical Publications Administrator.She then went to work for Rusk Heating and Cooling as an Executive Administrator for at least 10 years. She moved to Georgia 3 years ago where she was a proud member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Newnan, Georgia. Her love for her grandchildren was unmatched.They where the “Stars” of her life.She also loved reading, it was no big deal to see her read a book or two a day.Her love for her grandchildren was shown on Friday by her unselfish act of saving her grandsons life. Survivors include, one son William Judd(Christiana) Strickley of Erlanger, KY,two daughters, Devonie Strickley of Fort Mitchell, KY and Taryn (Perry) Romohr of Palmetto, GA.Four Brothers Gregory Tabar of Tennessee, Bruce Tabar of Ky, Jeffery Tabar of Ky and Kevin Tabar of Ky. One sister Patia Tabar of Ky. 9 Grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00 at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church Followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 AM, 1150 Donaldson Hwy, Erlanger, KY with inurnment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A second Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Newnan, Georgia That service to be announced at a later date.
