Sirrell Acevedo

Sirrell Acevedo was born on April 8th 1972 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Manuel and Portia Acevedo. She quietly departed this earth on April 30th 2020 in Atlanta, GA. Sirrell was known for her strong spirit and loyalty to all she loved. In her leisureshe enjoyed traveling, cooking, crocheting, shopping, reading and she enjoyed dancing. Sirrell obtain her education through the New York City school system. She also was employed as a culinary cook for varies restaurants throughout New York City before relocating to Georgia. Sirrell was a loving person who was deeply loved by family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate to enjoy her company. Sirrell is survived by her husband Derrick Banks, five children, Anthony Acevedo, Latecia McKay, Phillip and Anthony Diaz, and Vernessa Lopez. Sirrell also leaves to mourn three siblings, Tirrell (Jo Ann Matthews) Acevedo, Portia (Lewis Adams) Johnson, Nina (John) Butler. Six grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and dear friends. Memorial services to be announced at a later date.
