Sheila Whaley

Sheila Whaley, 53 of Tallapoosa, formerly of Douglasville, died Saturday, May 8, 2010. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Lee Benefield of Tallapoosa and Mindy and Phil Goddard of Snellville; father, Tommy Whaley of Monroe; brothers, Tony Whaley of Monroe and Steve Whaley of Euharlee; sister, Marsha Brookshire of Euharlee; grandchildren, Cameron, Kenzie, Austin, Paislee, Gabriel and Brody. Sheila loved all her family, but her grandkids were everything to her. She enjoyed spending time with them, coached their teams and was fully involved in their lives. She loved crafting and coached cheerleading and soccer for the Tallapoosa Recreation Department. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 to 2 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Relay For Life.
