Sarah Joyce Walling

Sarah Joyce Walling 86 of Alabama passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024.

She was born January 30, 1938, to the late Charles Lamar Brooks and Clora Leola White Brooks.

Sarah was a Godly woman who lived her life for the Lord and loved going to church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and fur babies. She loved to meet her cousins and siblings for breakfast every week and lunch on Saturdays at her home with family. She never met a stranger and adopted every kid and adult that came around.  Nana was kind to everyone she met and never hesitated to pray for anyone.

She is Survived by son: Harvey Bennett, grandson: Jason Bennett and wife Amanda Bennett.  4 granddaughters: Amber Perkins and husband Wes Perkins, Cenciere and Serah Bennett, Trinity Brandt.  3 great grands: Hayden Perkins, Dallis Rae Bennett and Harrison Perkins.  2 sisters: Patsy Saxon And Sandra Radke and husband Douglas Radke, sister-in-law Kay Brooks, brother-in-law Johnny Pope. Christina Avery and her boys Allen, Jacobe and Loghan Avery, Nathan Caldwell and numerous other family and friends.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents and husband:  James Walling, 1 daughter: Rita Johnson, 1 son: Greg Bennett, 2 brothers: Charles Brooks and John Brooks, 4 sisters: Edith Lee, Betty Jo Roberts, Sherry Gail Ward and Shirley Pope.

There will be a celebration of life on September 7, 2024, at 2:00pm at Tallapoosa Pentecostal Church – 109 Spring Street, Tallapoosa, Ga. 30176
