Sam Weldon

Sam Weldon of Lithia Springs passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020. He was born in Tifton, Georgia on April 20, 1947 to the parents of Samuel and Eva Weldon Jr. Sam is survived by his daughter, Elaine (David) Moore, brother, Steve (Debra) Weldon, sister, Michelle (Harry) Carter. He has three grandchildren; Raymond “Joey” Bell, Brandon Vance, and Austin Vance, four great grandchildren; Hunter Bell, Nash Vance, Bradley Bell, and Waylon Vance, and a niece April (Scott) Bray. Sam is preceded in death by his loving wife Alice Weldon, both of his parents, and a son; Raymond Weldon, and a sister Suzan Weldon. Sam spent four years active duty in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Douglas County School System.
