Roy Lee Dorough

Loving Brother, Father, and PawPaw, Roy Dorough will be dearly remembered after he left his earthly body to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

He was born in Marietta, Georgia on August 27, 1956, to the late George and Bessie Mae Dorough. Roy was a man truly dedicated to his son, family, friends, and faith. He was devoted to providing the best life he could for his only son, Chris.

Roy was a man of strong will who had a distaste for change and a determination to fight all obstacles including an extremely long battle with cancer. He had the support of God, family, friends, and his faith family all through the journey his body led him through, and he was grateful for the love and support.

He will be joining those who proceeded him in death including his brother, Bill Dorough who joined the Lord on Friday July 15, 2022.

He is survived by his son Chris Dorough, daughter-in-law Sarah Dorough, 2 grandchildren, Tristan Dorough and Emmalynn Dorough: siblings Lamar Dorough, Peggy Beshers, Gail Beshers as well as several nieces and nephews.
