Rowland "Buzz" Carros Sr.

Rowland Newell “Buz” Carros Sr., age 90, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully at his home on November 27, 2022. A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Buz was the proud patriarch of a large and ever-growing family. He married the love of his life, Florence Elizabeth (Bleyer) Carros in 1964, and together they raised eight children: Sharon (Larry) Clemmons, Andrew (Terry) Carros, Rowland (Linda) Carros Jr., Anna (Warren) Umphress, Rebecca (Stan) Ambrose, Jennifer Lanham, Samantha (Andy) Holmes, and Michael (Cindy) Carros. He was a playful and fun-loving “Papa” to 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. As a man whose heart and home were always open, he will be remembered by family and friends for his warm and generous spirit and a willingness to always lend a helping hand. A private burial service will be held at Honey Creek Woodlands on Thursday, December 1, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4401 Prestley Mill Road, Douglasville, Ga. 30135
