Reverend Ronald Wayne Cooper, 64, of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on November 11, 2018. Ron was born December 1, 1953 in Pittsburg, Texas, to Avon Marie (Cole) and Kenneth Olin Cooper. He attended Hialeah High School in Hialeah, FL. He continued his education at Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from Jackson College of Ministries. He pastored The Rock Church, Pentecostals of Paulding, in Hiram, Georgia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. He especially loved spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Darla Cooper (Johns) and his children, Holly Young (Daniel) and Michael Cooper (Courtney); his two grandchildren, Bailey and Maxwell Cooper; mother-in-law, LaVerne Johns; brothers and spouses, Kenneth O. Cooper Jr. (Joya), Stephen Cooper (Dawn), and Darryl Cooper (Pat); brothers-in-law Darrell Johns (Carol), Darrin Johns (Ruth), David Johns (Holly); 15 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews and numerous extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Cooper, mother, Avon Cooper, and father-in-law, George Johns. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 11 am with service following at 1 pm at Atlanta West Pentecostal Church, 2960 Skyview Dr, Lithia Springs, GA 30122. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064.
