Robert Earl Tippens

Robert "Bobby" Tippens, age 81 of Douglasville died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a tremendous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife, Robbie Lockhart Tippens; children, Sherri Tippens, Terri and husband Dewitt Cade, Buddy and wife, Diane Tippens, Vickieand husband Lanny Yarbrough; sister, Nell and husband Artis Eidson; three grandchildren: Ben Tippens, David Tippens and Kristin Erwin. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, Austell and he will lie in state from 1:00 pm until service time.In lieu of flowers, donation are asked to be made to support.panca.org Purplestride Atlanta 2017 Team "Praises for Pop"
