Riley Perry Jackson, 85 of Temple, passed away on October 23, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1936, in Otter Creek, Kentucky, the son of Andrew and Sara Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Jackson; son, Roger Jackson; daughter, Kim Billiter; son-in-law David Billiter; and brothers, Fred Jackson, and A.W. Jackson; sister, Bea Bales, and granddaughters, Elizabeth Billiter and Ella Billiter. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Sara Jackson, and siblings Vernon Jackson, Rufus Jackson, Kermit Jackson, Tena Grubb, Willalee Smith, and Don Jackson. Mr. Jackson retired from Curry Oil, where he worked as a truck driver for over 25 years. A devoted father and grandfather, Mr. Jackson dedicated his life to providing for his family. In his younger years you would often find Mr. Jackson, when he wasn’t working, out fishing, or hunting with his close family; and later, after retiring, loved to spend his days with his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters. Mr. Jackson was always willing to give a hand to someone in need and will be remembered for his kindness and compassion. A private family will service will be held with burial in Melrose Cemetery.
