Richard Douglas Shelton

Richard Douglas Shelton 79 of Douglasville passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born in Athens, Georgia on November 24, 1942, to the late J.R. and Geneva Shelton. Richard was a kindhearted person that everybody loved. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed playing games with his great grandson and sitting outside in his swing. He owned and operated Anchor Electric for over 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Fleeda Shelton, his daughters Tina (Steve) Hames, and Vickie Engles. He has five sisters and two brothers, as well as his grandchildren: Kandice Hames, Joshua Hames, and Alex Cogswell. He has 1 great grandchild Camden Stromatt. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry Shelton and a nephew Rodney Shelton. He was loved dearly in life and will be loved even more in death. He will be missed tremendously by all his family and friends.
