Rena Dianne Hood

The Celebration of Life and Memory of Rena Dianne Florence Hood will be 2 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2023. Rena was born to Hattie Poole and Ben Madison on October 23, 1950 in Austell Georgia. She is known as Dianne to many. Her siblings that preceded her in death were Marvin Florence, Sylvia Few, Pauline Few, Freddie Few, Arthur Paul Few Jr., Ronnie Few, and Alice Mae Few-Anderson. Siblings that remain are Anthony Few and Claudie Florence.

She bore 5 children, Thomas Florence (Kandis), Chandra Hull and Shaun Christopher Hood, Sr., with Venecia Verona Florence and Emory Eugene Florence preceding her in death. Surviving relatives include 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She lived a life of giving selflessly. She loved many and was loved by many. Her passion was cooking and dedicated most of her life in doing so by working in various restaurants namely Bill's Steak House and Dolly's Farmhouse. She was the lead cook at Ridgeview, where she retired. Due to her love for cooking, she would return to Dolly's Farmhouse to cook for a few more years. Her other past time would be the joy of piecing her puzzles together. She took both very seriously. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
