Posie Hembree

Posie Hembree, 82 of Lithia Springs, passed away at her home Friday morning, July 29, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Don T. Hembree, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dolly Sinyard; brothers, Billy Sinyard, Bobby Sinyard, Clifford Sinyard and Kenny Sinyard, and sister, Joyce Hollis.

Mrs. Hembree attended Winston Elementary School and graduated from Douglas County High School. Before retiring, she worked as a payroll clerk for Simmons Mattress factory. She grew up on a farm and loved gardening as a hobby. At a young age she learned to harvest and can vegetables and enjoyed it her whole life. Mrs. Hembree attended First Baptist Church of Mableton with her husband. They enjoyed road trips, just traveling here and there whenever they had a chance.

Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 2, at Roy Davis Funeral Home, followed by a procession to Sunrise Memorial Gardens for a graveside service at 2:30 pm.
