Perry Owen Harper

P.O. Harper, 78 of Lithia Springs, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Harper of Lithia Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Mo and Connie Harper of Lithia Springs; daughters and son-in-law, Yvette and Tom Rushing of Savannah and Tammie Shinpaugh of Cumming; grandchildren, Cheri Shinpaugh, Brooke Rushing, Matthew Harper, Josh Shinpaugh, Tommy Rushing and Jessica Harper. Mr. Harper coached the Lady Amazons softball team for over 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and carpentry. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired after 30 years of service with Western Electric. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service for Mr. Harper will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, in the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Hennesy officiating.
