Patricia Lynn Peterson

Patricia Lynn Peterson, age 68 of Powder Springs died January 31, 2018 at her residence after an extended illness.Born on June 10, 1949 to the late Stanley and Charmaine DeShay Nelson and raised in Chicago, Illinois, her family moving to Douglasville 1978.She spent her life caring for others as a nursing assistant and home health aide, numerous places both in Chicago and most notably in Douglas General Hospital, Douglasville. She was an devoted and loving mom, grandma and “Great”. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Peterson; survived by her daughter, Janice Brown (Phil Fox) of Powder Springs; son, Phillip Mandel of Marietta; granddaughters, Brandigayle Withrow (James Withrow) of Dallas, Cassandra Roberts of Douglasville; great-grandchildren, Adysen DeShay Withrow, Lucus Cade Withrow, Corbin Joseph Roberts. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am, Faith Community Church in Douglasville with Pastor Jim Barrett officiating.A meal will be provided following the service for family and friends.
