Myrtle Estelle Elsner

On Thursday, March 25, 2021 Myrtle Estell Elsner went home to be with her Lord and Savior, at the age of 99. Myrtle was born on November 30, 1921 in Carroll County Georgia to James William Byram and Annie Clyde Vines. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from Aetna Insurance Company after 30 years and was a faithful member of Zion View Baptist for more than 50 years. Myrtle will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Willie Elsner. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, LaRue (Preston) Moore, Gloria (David) Horton, her sons; Larry Elsner, Carl Elsner, and Davis Elsner, Grand daughter Charlene Dean, and Great grandchildren Chris Dean, and Hadassah Campbell, as well as children by marriage Bill Shepard, and Martha Campbell. Myrtle is survived by her children Jerry Campbell, Charlotte Walters, Loraine Shepard, Larry (Susan) Campbell, Albert (Peggy) Campbell, and Carolyn Elsner, as well as 14 grandchildren; Brian Campbell, Laura Campbell, Jerry (Donna) Walters, Terry (Kristie) Walters, Will (Bob) Shepard, Karen (Doug) Weaver, Angie (Tony) Clement, Donna (Allen) Darby, Kelly (David) Haynie, Kevin (Jennifer) Campbell, Tracy (Luther) Jones, Lee (Lisa) Elsner, Ryan Elsner. 28 great grandchildren; Blake Campbell, Trent Walters, Michael Walters, Mitchell Walters, Megan Walters, Elisabeth Wright, Lauren Hopkins, Alexis Lively, Tyler (Victoria) Darby, Kristen (Will) Lindsey, Sara Haynie, Berea Campbell, Priscilla Campbell, Phebe Campbell, Chole Campbell, Moses Campbell, Elim Campbell, Brooke Campbell, Claudia Campbell, Elijah Campbell, Adrienne (Michael) Strickland, Rett (Kimberly) Jones, Mallory Elsner, Dalton, Elsner, Keegan (Katie) Elsner, Brittan Elsner, and Mary Elsner, also 12 great-great grandchildren; Christopher Dean, Aaron Palmer, Liam Nesmith, Cora Nesmith, Connor Wright, Zoe Skelton, Micah Skelton, Rylie Hopkins, Grace Darby, Eli Darby, Liza Strickland, and Archie Jones.
