Minnie Laura Allen

Minnie Laura Allen, 76 of Lithia Springs, passed away early in the morning of June 14, 2022. She is survived by her husband, James Allen, Jr.; sons, Matt (Brenda Sue) Tucker and Jeff Tucker; stepdaughters, Amy (Matt) Hayes, Kym (James) Freeman and Tammy (Jeff) Bates; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was a talented artist and especially loved painting and decorating. She enjoyed pottery, gardening and cutting grass with her riding lawn mower.It was hers and nobody else was allowed to drive it. During her working years before retirement she was the owner of World Class Tile. A loving wife and mother, Laura especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They knew they were always welcome to have fun and be spoiled at Grandmother’s house, and there was always time for snuggles. She was all about family and would do anything for her children. James lovingly called her the boss and claimed she had been keeping him in line since they got married in 1998. She was friendly, had a smile for everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Friday, June 18, 2022 at Roy Davis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
