Mike Lancaster, 57 of Austell, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. He was born April 12, 1963, the son of Howard and Margie Lancaster, and was a lifelong resident of Austell. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Ruth Lancaster; children, Cheryl & Mike Tiller of Talladega, AL, Charles & Lauren Ramey of Powder Springs, Jeremie & Sabrina Ramey of Temple and Jacob Bentley Tiller of Austell; mother, Margie Lancaster of Austell; sisters, Marlene Little of Austell, Darlene Hammond of Lithia Springs, Charlene Cochran of Austell and Sharon & Wesley Howes of Dallas; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lancaster. Mike was Daddy, Dad and PaPa. He was a hard worker and a good man. He would work day and night, and like his father, he would not slow down.He worked at Southern Aluminum for many years but was really a Jack of all trades. He could do anything from custom building furniture to home repairs to fixing a car, never expecting payment. He enjoyed taking care of the people he loved. Always the comedian, Mike kept everyone laughing with his jokes. Everybody loved him; he was the glue that held the family together. His smiling face will be missed by everyone who knew him. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, October 21, at Roy Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday, October 22, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.
