Mary Frances Wessinger

Mary Frances Wessinger, 69, of Douglasville passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Tranquility at Cobb Hospice in Austell. Mrs. Wessinger was born May 22, 1949 in Austell, GA, daughter of the late Harold Strickland and Faye Thrasher Strickland. She was a lifelong area resident and active in the Church of God for many years.She worked in retail store management her entire career. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Wessinger of Douglasville; a daughter, Tammy James of Powder Springs; brothers, Dale Crider and Darryl Crider; three grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wessinger was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Wayne Wessinger and Michael Ray Wessinger; and a sister, Charlotte Shelton. The family will gather at Roy Davis Funeral Home to receive friends on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The funeral procession will depart Roy Davis Funeral Home at 3 p.m. for a graveside service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Buddy James officiating.
