Mary Simpson

Mary Lucille Simpson 88 of Dallas, Georgia passed away Friday, June 16, 2023.

She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 21, 1934, to the late William and Minnie Hames.

Mary worked as a Machine Operator at Service Plastics for many years, then became a homemaker. She was a member at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Mary enjoyed embroidering and watching T.V. shows “Little House” and “Criminal Minds.” She was loved and will be missed.

Mary is survived by her children, Mary Victoria Simpson of Perry, Ga., Ross Scott (Patricia) Simpson of Dallas, Ga., Lisa Ellen Simpson of Powder Springs, Ga., and her 5 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as her brother Curtis Hames of Eatonton, Ga., several more family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Bailey Lee Simpson, her parents, 3 children, ,Linda Maxine Raines, Jack Huck Funderburke, Johnny Ray Simpson, and her siblings, Clyde Hames, Maybelle Causey, Ruth Bettington, Ella Allen, and Gaynell King.
