Mary Lou Kown

Mrs. Mary Kown, age 95, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away on April 15, 2017.Mrs. Kown was born in Cobb County, Georgia to John & Drew Parks.She is the last of eight children.For many years, Mrs. Kown worked for Norris Candy Company in Atlanta.In her spare time, she enjoyed tending her flowers and azaleas.She was known to be a great cook, especially her cornbread.She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bishop Delay and her second husband, Herman Kown; her parents; and her seven siblings.She leaves to cherish her loving memory a host of nieces, nephews, family, loved ones, and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 5:30pm-8:00pm at the Roy Davis Funeral Home in Austell.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00am at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.The Rev. Dennis Cooke will officiate.
