Marvin Clinton Quick, Sr (A.K.A. The Cookie Man) died Monday, January 14th at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife Bette L. Quick; Children, Marva Sue Hall (Robbie) of GA, Barbara J. Jones of GA, Casey Jenkins (Susan) of CA and Derrell Jenkins of GA; Daughter-in-Law, Marion B. Quick; Siblings, Arthur P. Quick (Sharon) of TN and Thera Ennis of NC; 20 Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Quick was preceded in death by his first Wife, Dorothy V. Quick; Children Marvin C. Quick, Jr, Phyllis V. Paschall and Mary L. Jenkins; Siblings Sarah Morena of OH, Edna E. Quick, Francis E. Quick of FL and Bobby Quick of MO. Mr. Quick loved deep sea fishing and he was a Mason at the Leland Masonic Lodge in Mableton as well as a current member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Mableton. The family will receive friends at Roy Davis Funeral Home Thursday, January 17 from 6 to 8pm. Mr. Quick will lie in state from 12 to 1pm on Friday at Connection Pointe Church with the funeral service beginning at 1pm with Bishop Keith Gunter and Pastor Jackie Sanders officiating
