Martha Pelter Wood

Martha Pelter Wood, age 55 of Sugar Hill, formerly of Douglasville and Gainesville, died Thursday, November 27, 2008. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Ashley Ford of Jefferson, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Pelter Wood, II of Mt. Airy, GA, Debra and Ben Pettus of Douglasville, Billie and Jeremy Brewer of Paulding County; mother, Martha Willene Pelter of Villa Rica; sister, Georgia White of Villa Rica; brothers, Greg Pelter of Sugar Hill, Philip Pelter of Douglasville, David Pelter of Douglasville; grandchildren, Jordan and Ava Ford and Presley Pettus; 10 nieces and nephews, and her dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Eugene Lambert, and her father, John William Pelter. Mrs. Wood will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and for the active role she played in the community. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Northwest Baptist Church, 1150 Niles Ave. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Praise Academy, 4052 Hiram-Lithia Springs Rd., Powder Springs, GA 30127.
