Martha Wilson Gaines

Martha Wilson Gaines, age 99, of Austell died Thursday, February 05, 2009.Daughter of the late Ulla and Margaret Watson Wilson of Villa Rica, she was born on February 26, 1909.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis G. “Griff” Gaines.Mrs. Gainesis survived by her sons, Robert Gaines and wife Myra Jordon of Quitman, Alex and wife Nikki Gaines of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Stephen Gaines, Carrie Gaines Smith, and Lauren Gaines; great granddaughter, Katie Smith; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gaines was a longtime member of Austell Presbyterian Church, member of the Cobb County Homemakers Club and she was involved and donated to the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Thornton Orphanage. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until 2 pm at the funeral home.Funeral will be held Saturday 2:00 PM at Roy Davis Funeral Home with Rev. David Pearce officiating; internment at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
