Marshall "Mac" S. McDonald, age 88 of Austell died Tuesday, February 23, 2010.He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Nellie McDonald; sons, Larry McDonald of North Augusta, S.C., Tim McDonald of Harrisburg, PA; daughters, Janice Schug of Kennesaw, Kathi Chastain of Canton, Denise Moody of Austell, Marsha Daniell of Dallas, Tina Nash of Winder; 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 2 pm at Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Brownlee Reaves officiating; interment Collins Springs Cemetery, Smyrna. Mr. McDonald proudly served his country in WWII in the United States Army.He was Chief of Police in Austell in his early career, retired from Lockheed as a security guard and was a member of the Church of Christ in Douglasville.The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
