Mark Patrick Casey of Atlanta, Ga passed away in the evening of Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He was 67 years old. there will be a funeral mass on Tuesday, March 2, 1010 at 10 a.m. at The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 48 Martin Luther King Drive in downtown Atlanta, where he was an active parishioner. Mr. Casey was born on April 20, 1942, Mark grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota where he graduated from St. Thomas College in 1964. Mark served in the United Staes Army from 1965 through 1967, and moved to Atlanta after his service. Mark was a salesman for 3M for many years, and for the past nine years was a librarian for the Atlanta-Fulton County library System. A stranger to no one, Mark was an avid letter writer and raconteur, who told lively tales of history, mystery and adventure. Mark is survived by his son Patrick Casey and daughter Margaret Kirkland, granddaughterKathleen Kirkland, all of Atlanta, and his siblings Mary Claire Casey of St. Louis, MO, Richard Casey and Carol Gaberel of Las Vegas, Nevada.
