Mansel Scott Jackson

The family of Mansel “Scott” Jackson, 64, of Mableton, Georgia is saddened to announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Born on December 8, 1959 to the late Mrs. Virginia E. Faegans Jackson and Mr. Charles V. Jackson, Sr., Scott or “Scotty,” as he was affectionately known by old friends and family, graduated from Pebblebrook High School in 1978 and was a lifelong resident of Cobb County where he was well-known and loved in the community.

He had a very strong faith foundation and loved God and his church family with all of his heart. He spent his early childhood and youth at the First Baptist Church of Mableton and was a long-time member of East-West Church in Marietta for over forty years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, eating at restaurants, and spending time with his family and grandkids.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Jackson of Mableton, Georgia; daughter, Amanda La Hue (Sean) of San Antonio, Texas; son, Charles Jackson of Mableton, Georgia; daughter, Tisa Howard (Tim) of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Torry Howard of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren Ava and Jackson La Hue, Gabriella La Hue, Anthony and Alek Limardo, Bryson and Braxton Howard, Mason Howard, and Casen and Allanie Howard along with an abundance of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles V. Jackson, Sr. and Virginia; his brother, Charles V. Jackson, Jr.; and grandson, Michael La Hue.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 pm at East-West Church, 1521 Hurt Rd., Marietta, Georgia 30008.
