Lynne Jay Paine

Lynne Jay Paine passed away on Sunday, April 21st, 2024. Lynne was born March 5th, 1956, to Roy and Barbara Hough in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She is survived by her stepdaughter Phyllis Paine/Carruth, grandsons Dawson and Chase Carruth, Hunter Paine, Ryder Paine, mother Barbara Hough, sister Gail Ehle, brother Kris Hough and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charlie Paine Jr. and son Matthew Paine, her father Roy and many of her aunts and uncles.

Lynne grew up in the greater Atlanta area, but lived in Mableton, GA. with her late husband Charlie since 1984. She worked for many years with the Cobb County School District and retired. She loved listening to music and could always be heard singing her favorite tunes at home, at the pool and in the car. Lynne also enjoyed the company of visiting family, especially her grandchildren. During family events, you could always depend on her to be there and her willingness to help in any way she could. Her family and friends will dearly miss Lynne’s distinctive laugh, clapping and stuffed ham rolls.

A very special thank you to Phyllis and Chase Carruth for giving Lynne the love and care she needed through the last several months of her life. We love you both.
