Lois Rebecca Burke

Mrs. Lois Rebecca Sudduth Burke, 81 of Covington, GA, passed away July 22, 2008, following an extended illness. Mrs. Burke was born in Atlanta, to Alvin S. Sudduth and Dora Rebecca Morris. Much of her childhood was spent in Douglas County. As a young adult she moved to Atlanta where she attended West Fulton High School, married and was a loving mother to three children. Preceding her in death are her husbands Robert H. Derrick and Tommy Burke and one daughter Deborah Rebecca Beal. Mrs. Burke retired from Atlanta Medical Center after 29 years of service in 1992 and resided in Atlanta until 2004 when she moved in with her daughter Theresa Daniel in Covington. She is survived by one son Robert A. Derrick and one daughter, Theresa Susan Daniel; nine grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. On Thursday, July 24, at 1:00 pm, family and friends will gather at Roy Davis Funeral Home, Austell, GA with the Rev. Gary Boggs officiating services. Interment will be at Mozley Memorial Gardens, Lithia Springs, GA.
