Lee Allan King

February 18, 1937 — June 18, 2012

Lee Allan Charles King, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2012. He was born in Antigo, WI on February 18, 1937.He is survived by his wife Lorraine King, his children; Allan (Teresa) King, Clarance King, Charles (Frances) King, Patricia (Robert) Logston, Jacob (Amber) King, LeeAnn (Josh) Conn, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grand children, his sisters Arcelia Kolpack & Loann Heinzen, brother Earl (Carol) King, along with many more family & friends. Lee Allan served in the United States Navy from 1955 until he retired a MMC in 1974. He went on to work at Farm Best Dairy in Jacksonville, Fl and then relocated back to his hometown of Antigo, WI. There he worked for Chicago Northwestern railroad until 1986. He then moved to Marietta, Ga and began working for Nationwide Envelope Company. After a few years of health issues, he returned to the work force and served as Security for the Marietta Museum of Art and then as a BailiffMarietta City Court House. Unfortunately as his health issues digressed he was lead into retirement. This did not stop Allan from doing what he did best; make friends and enjoy everyday to the fullest. He would garden or ride his scooter around the neighborhood visiting, encouraging and helping his neighbors. What eventually ended Allan's life here on earth was heart failure. We believe that he loved with his whole heart during his entire life. He had given that love out to everyone the best he knew how and then God said, " Well done, my good and faithful servant." and the Lord called him home. He never met a stranger and was rarely without a smile. He was a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, great grandfather and most of all a friend. This is not goodbye but see you soon. Today is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. The family invites everyone to a graveside service on June 30 at 11:00 Am at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. All flowers or sympathies can be sent to 3913 Old Villa Way, Powder Springs, GA 30127
