Laura Hess Still

Laura Elaine Hess Still age, 71 ofMableton, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born on Friday, May 11, 1945 to the late Howard and Mary Louise Hess in Lakeland, Florida and was raised in Mobile, AL. She loved nature, New Orleans city life and cuisine, and the Gulf of Mexico. She had a beautiful singing voice.She worked for many years in real estate and built a home where she lived with her son.She is survived by her husband, Daniel Wilson Still and son, Judson H. Blane of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren; sisters, Maureen Taylor of Oxford, MS and Patricia (Rick) Carta of Boynton Beach, FL.; brother, Bill Hess of Daphne, AL; uncle, Oscar Lipscomb of Mobile, AL; She is also survived by the father of her son, W.J. Blane Jr. of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Theresa Hess and stepmother, Beverly Hess, who died inMobile, AL on the same day. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 2017 at 2 pm at the Mt. Paran Church of God in Atlanta, GA. Church service to follow.
