Kathryne Stephens

Kathryne (Trina) Jones Stephens passed away on December 26, 2015 in Smyrna, GA at the age of 87. She was born on February 7, 1928 in Pembroke, GA. Trina was a very sweet, kind, and loving lady, as well as a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the best mother in the world and so greatly loved by her children. She loved her family, and spent the majority of her life taking care of her family and was always there to help her family. She was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, playing Scrabble with Norris, and was an extremely big fan of the Braves. Trina was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norris L. Stephens; her daughter Nancy Kathryne Stephens; her parents, Eva Belle Jones and Ottis M. Jones. She is survived by her son Richard N. Stephens and partner Randall Loehrig of Atlanta, GA; her daughter Diane S. Waters and husband Thomas (Tom) of Smyrna, GA; her grandson David Brown and wife Jennifer of Suwanee, GA; her grandson Kristopher Waters and wife Marla of Canton, GA; her granddaughter Emily Quinn and husband John of Valhalla, NY; 7 great grandchildren Charlotte, Harry, and Annie Brown of Suwanee, GA; Maddie, Reese, and Graham Waters of Canton, GA; James Quinn of Valhalla, NY. A memorial service will be held by the family on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 12:30 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA.Interment will be in Jesup, GA at a later date.
