Judy Ann Tinker, age 81, of Dallas, Ga. passed away, peacefully in her sleep at home, on June 8,2024. She was born on September 14th 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Meda (Huffman) Turner and George Turner. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard L. Tinker, her children, Julia T. Johnson and Richard G. Tinker and her great grandson, Michael Ray Steele. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melanie Rae Steele and grandson, Anthony Scott Johnson.
Judy’s family moved to Marietta in 1951 where she lived until moving to Dallas in 2018. She graduated from Sprayberry High School, where she excelled in band. She went on to become an X-ray technician at Kennestone hospital and retired with disability in 1981.
She was devoted to serving others and did so with the Smyrna women’s Lions Club and later with the West Cobb Lions Club with a focus on assisting the Lion’s Lighthouse in Atlanta.
Her memorial will be announced at a later date.
