Judy Still

Judy Still, 79 of Austell, passed away at home with her family by her side on July 25, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Wendell Still; son, Christopher Still and grandson, Christian Still; several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death in 1983 by her son, Scott Still.

Mrs. Still was born on March 12, 1943 in Metter, Georgia and moved to Marietta as a young child. On October 6, 1962 she married Wendell and moved to Austell. She was well known at South Cobb High School where she worked as the secretary for 29 years, retiring in 2009. As her children were growing up she was actively involved in PTA and served as president several times.

A member of First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs, over the years Mrs. Still taught Sunday School and Training Union and sang in the church choir. She loved spending time with her family and together they were active with West Atlanta Street Rods. Her green thumb made growing orchids, African violets and other house plants easy for her. Another hobby she enjoyed was collecting porcelain birds, especially eagles.

Although her health didn’t allow her to do the things she enjoyed in recent years, she was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm Thursday, July 28, at Roy Davis Funeral Home, with the funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
