Johnie Laverne Hamilton, age 76 of Mableton, died in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Tranquility Wellstar Hospice.She is survived by her son, Steve Hamilton of Mableton; daughters, Rebecca Bonds of Mableton, Brenda (Jack) Brown of Powder Springs, Teresa (David) Cribb of Hiram; sister, Evelyn Stephens of Mableton; brother, Frazier (Pat) Mitchell of Austell; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Laverne was owner and operator of Mitchell Grocery in Mableton.She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Hamilton.The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, October 17, 2017 at Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Daniel officiating; interment, Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.
