John Dudley Randall

February 22, 1936 — January 10, 2022

John Dudley Randall was born in Columbus, Georgia on February 22, 1936, and lived in Austell, Georgia when he passed away on January 10, 2022. John joined the United States Air Force at 17 years of age with his parents’ permission and was always very proud of his service. He worked at Ford Motor Co. at the Hapeville assembly plant for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, NASCAR, watching the Braves, and burning leaves. He always enjoyed tinkering with things & fixing them. He loved animals and had numerous dogs and cats in his lifetime, including his dog, Lewie, who is 18 yrs. old and currently resides with son, Cliff. He loved to aggravate and pick at you. If he did, you knew how much you were loved. Affectionately known as "Uncle Bud" to his nieces & nephews. He is now reunited with his daughter, Deborah, who was tragically taken from the family at 9 years old. He was never able to fill the void left in his heart by her death. John is survived by his wife of 50 years Jo Ann Randall, his daughters Lisa (Tony) Dupree, Tracey Johnson, his sons Cliff (Kim) Daniels, Melvin Randall, Steven Edwards, his grandchildren Anastasia (Eric) Keith, Melvin Randall Jr., his great granddaughter Amelia Keith. As well as his sisters Charlotte (Carlton) Putnam, Sharon (Lamar) Mitchell, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cora O’Shields and Ralph Dudley Randall, stepfather, Charles O’Shields, daughter Deborah Lynn Randall, his son Gene Daniels, and sisters Betty and Barbara. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
