John Bruce Land, age 72 of Lithia Springs died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.He is survived by his wife, Molly Davis Land; sons, Tony Land of Douglasville, Jack Land of Douglasville, JJ Land of Powder Springs; daughter, Melanie Dalon of Lithia Springs; brother, Larry Land of Lithia Springs, Ronnie Land of Austell, Kenny Land of Norcross, Keith Land of Forsyth; 10 grandchildren: Brandon Land, Sunny Dempsey, Justin Land, Aaron Taylor Land, Samantha Sharpe, Evan Vaughn, Haylie Vaughn, Caylie Vaughn, Will Land, Emma Jane Land; preceded in death by great granddson, Merrick Medlin. John Bruce Land was born Thursday, November 30, 1944 to the late William Bruce Land and Rose Dickerson Land in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a crane operator proudly affiliating with Operating Engineer Local 926 Union. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Hennesy officiating; interment, Davis Chapel Cemetery.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
