Joel "Tony" Albright

Joel (Tony) Albright, age 62, of Moultrie, Georgia formerly of Austell, Georgia passed away on November 14th, at Cobb Hospital after a long illness.Tony was born June 24th, 1958 in Marietta, GA to Mr. Kenneth Albright and Mrs. Louise Cooper Albright. From a young age Tony loved the railroad and was able to fulfill a lifelong dream by working with Southern Railroad as a welder. Tony never met a stranger, and as the saying goes, “he would talk to a signpost.” He was an exceptional athlete in his youth, he enjoyed many sports from football, basketball, and his favorite, tennis. Tony is survived by his loving parents; Kenneth and Louise Albright of Austell, one sister; Nan Powell of Douglasville, nieces; Aubrey Anderson of Smyrna and Kameron Durrell of Dallas, one great nephew; Rhyse Durrell, and two daughters. Tony accepted The Lord as his Savior at an early age, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Austell. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Pisgah on Monday, November 23, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. Flowers are appreciated, or if desired, donations may be made in Tony’s honor to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 851 South Gordon Road, Austell, GA 30168.
