Jimmie Eugene Conner

Mr. Jimmie Eugene Conner, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was born on April 5, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. William Newton Conner and Mrs. Annie Belle Conner. Mr. Conner is preceded in death by his brothers William Conner and Lewis “LT” Conner, sister-in-law Mattie Conner, and brothers-in-law Robert Cox and Craig Horner, Sr. Mr. Conner served in the Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received numerous medals. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 48 years Kathy Jo Hawkins Conner of Douglasville, Georgia, his sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Susan Conner of Winston, Georgia and Scott and Katy Conner of Ocoee, Florida, five grandchildren Ryan and Jackson Conner of Winston, Georgia, and Allison, Gabriel, and Tobias Conner of Ocoee, Florida, siblings Herman and Linda Conner of Summerville, Georgia, Annie Gaynell Conner Cox of Austell, Georgia, Sandra Conner Horner of Austell, Georgia, Elmer and Debbie Conner of Waco, Georgia, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Conner of Austell, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 18, from 12 to 2 pm at Roy Davis Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service with military honors at 2 pm.
