Jeffrey Steven Toney (September 2, 1960-October 25, 2024)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey S. Toney. Jeff is predeceased by his mother, Karen. Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.
Jeff was born in Brownsburg, Indiana the second child to Kenneth and Karen Toney. Due to his father's career the family moved many times during his childhood eventually settling in Marlton Lakes, New Jersey. Jeff was a graduate of Shawnee High School Class of 1978. After high school Jeff had many careers beginning with working in a Machine Shop and ending with working at Auto Zone, with a stint as a Massage Therapist in between.
From an early age Jeff was known for his creativity and entrepreneurship. One of Jeff's greatest joys was making others laugh. Please remember him by his sense of humor, sarcasm, quick comebacks, and the ability to see lightness in dark situations.
Jeff's passion though, was motorcycles. His favorite saying was "People ask Why bike's? because they wear their mechanical hearts on their sleeves." Jeff enjoyed nothing more than spending time in the Garage Mahal tinkering away on his latest project. He loved fixing, building, and working on motorcycles. He put his heart and soul into every build. Each bike build was a labor of love and could take up to a year to complete, but when he finished it was a sight to behold.
Jeff was a present and dedicated husband and partner to Deb. Their recent move to Georgia brought them both great joy. As a loving father, Jeff (El Jefe) was always there to offer guidance, support and encouragement to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking for Deb and his friends and family as well as posting daily anecdotes on social media. Jeff was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others and he had a large circle of active friendships lasting over 50 years.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife Deb (Pinto), his children Elise (Bryan Hoffower), Zachary and Austin and stepdaughter Jordan. His grandchildren Atrus and Lily, siblings Michael (Erika), Lisa (Troy Pope), Barbara, Bradley, and Beth Boulter, along with many nieces and nephews. His fur and feather family Sadie Marie, Harley, and Mango. His memory will live on by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for Mid-January 2025 in Central Florida. Further details will be provided once they become available.
