Jeannie Elaine Hughes

Mrs. Jeannie Elaine Wells Hughes, age 65, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Marietta, Ga.

Jeannie was born on February 7, 1959, to her mother, the late Mrs. Edna Mae Wells Henry and her stepdad, Mr. Jerry Henry.  Jeannie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always enjoyed having a good time and was sure to make you laugh or at least crack a smile.

Jeannie will be dearly missed by her many friends and loved ones.

She is survived by her twins, daughter; Christy Hughes Hembree and her husband Kevin, son; Johnny Ashley Hughes and his wife Chasity, her companion for many years; Lester “Leo” Dean, grandchildren, Gavin Hembree and his wife Lexi, Dylan Hembree, Llana Hughes, Zeppelin Hughes and Bexley Hughes, many other friends, and relatives also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John “Johnny” Thomas Hughes and great grandmother who raised her Josiephine Bragg.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery on Villa Rica Hwy in Dallas, Ga. with her son in law Kevin Hembree officiating.
