Jan Marie Slawson, age 68 of Douglasville died Friday, September 26, 2014 at Tranquility Hospice.She is survived by her son, Bobby Pooler of Douglasville; daugthers, Karen Guinn and husband Jared of Douglasville, Katherine Cook of Carrollton, Brenda Childers and husband Derrick of Canton; brother, Douglas Slawson of Kansas; sister, Mary Karten of Kansas; stepbrother, Joe Phillips of Minnesota; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. A native of Topeka, Kansas, she was born on August 7, 1946 to the late William and Frances Slawson.She retired from Wellstar Cobb Hospital as a Registered Nursing after numerous years. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held: Saturday, October 4, 2014 Cobb Hospital Auditorium 1 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm
