James Washington

Mr. James Delaine Washington, age 62, of Austell, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, in Cobb County, GA.

Mr. Washington was born on May 26, 1961, in Atlanta, Ga, to his parents, Mr. Eugene Washington and the late Mrs. Shirley Tankersley. Mr. Washington enjoyed rock music, gardening, fishing, and anything working with his hands. He was an outdoorsman that loved his family and will be dearly missed by his friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his daughter; Brandy McNeal, his bonus children; Chasity Price and Jeremiah Washington, his father; Eugene Washington, his siblings; Janis Cody (Tony) and Tina Griffin (Thomas), and his grandchildren Alazaih Evans, Andre McNeal, and Tyanah McNeal. Many other friends and relatives also survive.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister Lisa Billingsley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Roy Davis Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 AM to the hour of the service.

Interment will follow the service and be held at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, GA, at 2:00 PM.
